The national situation that we are feeling as a result of the pandemic has led us to rebuild the fibers of our company to guarantee everyone’s safety and find ourselves again, but with a deeper look at each place we inhabit.

• The rigor before, during and after your trip: We create a document with the Biosafety protocol of our company, in which we guarantee that you have all the necessary information when traveling with us, download the document by entering the following link. • We will give you a biosafety kit: We share this little infographic so that you know what you should take into account when planning your trip with us.

• “Date with the Mountain” Program: We created this space to reconnect, our guides and our team take their available weekly time to talk via Hangouts with you, learn together about the mountain and prepare for the next trip. • Páramo language: Social distancing is a reality, we create a simple language so when you go up to the mountain, you can get close with glances and signs with the peasant families and your guide. You will know this language when you book your trip with us.

• A new, more personal trip: We will return to the mountains to take advantage of the silence, reconnect with our thoughts, learn from loneliness and share our emotions with the force of our gaze. As guides we know the tour is also full of fear, emotions of sadness, brush strokes of frustration, so we have adjusted our routes to give even more space to everything we feel so that we can live together all the emotions.

• Our team is everything: We are training to strengthen the skills of our guides, training peasant families in good biosafety practices and creating rigorous processes from the administrative and operational area to build new ways of walking the trails and interact with our travelers.

• Salvemos Páramo: We created our Crowdfunding campaign “Salvemos Páramo” to support our team and rural families economically. We continue to build this type of initiative to positively impact more people.

• Together to grow: We created our group of guides as a Pre-cooperative to encourage entrepreneurship and innovation in the company, we met to create new routes and encourage new projects in lines of work such as: community development, women in the mountains, Páramo Seed and other initiatives that are economic alternatives that seek to contribute to sustainability.

Flexibility in our cancellation policies: We adjust our policies so that, whatever happens, we can adapt together and prioritize your well-being. (Know our Terms and Conditions in this Link.

• You can reschedule the date of your trek as many times as necessary, for a future trip in the coffee region, without extra charges for postponing the service (applies until December 21st, 2021)

• You can transfer your reservation to a friend or family member to trek with us between the requested dates. We have more than 25 route alternatives, in case you prefer a tour that is not mountaineering.

• You can request a full refund of the value of the deposit you paid (we must charge 10% administrative taxes) and you will receive a refund through the card you used for payment or to your bank account.

• Mountain Chain Program: It is our network of allies in different mountain destinations. If the uncertainty remains and because of your ease of getting from where you live, there is another mountain destination that you can visit, you can choose from our allies and exchange your tour to Los Nevados National Park for an experience anywhere in the country with incredible discounts.

• Frailejón Piggy Bank: A saving plan for you in which you can make monthly payments from 14,00 USD or 12,00 EUR in a piggy bank marked with your name and your next route. By making this savings you immediately enter our “Date with the Mountain” program and a specialized guide will accompany you 3 hours a month to train for your next route.

• Bubble dates: Our five favorite plans Nevado del Tolima, Paramillo del Quindío, Cruzando los Andes Centrales, Nevado Santa Isabel and Valle de Cocora are with more than 16 dates scheduled for you to join one of our groups, with travelers who they take all the Biosafety requirements for traveling.

• Discount vouchers: For paying one of your trips before November 15, you will receive up to 20% discount on our specialized routes.

We must re-signify our tours, it is no longer enough just to recycle or hire local people, this new vision that we have of tourism should lead us all to profoundly change the dynamics to truly contribute to sustainable development.

• We measure your carbon footprint: We are implementing our system to measure your carbon footprint for each route so that you have the option of compensating it when buying your tour with Páramo Trek. Travel conscious!

• We implemented the Occupational Health and Safety Management System: Since 2017 this system allows us to focus on critical risks and establish control strategies to ensure a safe work environment in both the administrative and operational areas.

• We are Tourcert certified: We update our Tourcert certification to ensure our excellent Sustainability practices.

• Alliances to transform: In alliance with foundations focused on the conservation of ecosystems, we are working to create projects that contribute to the local development of communities in the Paramos.

• Páramo Seed: For 3 years we have worked with more than 58 boys and girls from 4 small schools whom we inspire to learn more about mountaineering and conservation.
